On the 14th and 15th November 2011, SRi Forensics attended the Police Leadership and Innovation Conference at Manchester University. Hosted within the facility in which SRi Forensics is located, the event discussed and considered the links between public leadership and innovation.
Day one focused on the unique leadership challenges facing the UK police forces, drawing on the experience of international police chiefs and academics - including Peter Fahy (Chief Constable Greater Manchester Police) and Ralph L Godbe Jr (Chief of Police, Detroit, US). Questions we considered included:
What are the key leadership challenges?
How can police leaders create the conditions to enable innovation?
Day 2 considered innovation in more detail and brought together a range of speakers and case studies to illustrate how innovation can lead and how policing services could be improved in these unprecedented times.
SRi Forensics presented a selected case study and demonstrated our innovative approach to evidence presentation to this international audience.
